Panasonic’s Toughpad FZ-E1The Toughpad is a military-grade tablet powered by the Windows Embedded 8.1 operating system. At only 5 inches it’s small enough to fit in your pocket or your pack and has enough battery power to last 14 hours, making it perfect for a day trip to the mountains. It’s designed to withstand up to a ten foot drop onto solid concrete, as well as thirty minutes underwater. The toughpad contains a built-in heater that can withstand temperatures as low as -4 degrees.
