Dear Trashed,
Great question; I have one broken down trash can that, like a bad case of herpes, keeps coming back. Every week on trash day for the last 3 weeks, I set it out and when I get home that evening it’s back by my garage with the other cans. I finally gave up on the trash man and decided to rely on basic human instinct. Yesterday I put it out by the curb with a “For sale $10,” sign on it. It was gone before noon.
