Nite Ize: The Littlest Bits of Gear that Pack a Useful Punch

ycku

Whether you’re a camping enthusiast, hiker, biker, climber, or just all-around outdoor dirt bag, chances are there have been plenty of times where your headlamp just wasn’t enough light for your adventures. Luckily, Nite Ize provides illuminating products that can be attached to just about anything: your dog, your pack, your jacket, your tent. Not only are these items useful, they’re also perfect for those who wish to be just a little bit more safe and visible in the wilderness.

Functionality ★★★★
As far as their function, Nite Ize live up to their promise. They are bright and extremely useful on all adventures. Not to mention, you’ll thank your lucky stars you have one or two if you get caught out in the backcountry after dark. How are they best put to use? If you’ve got a dog who loves to run free off-leash, you can’t beat Nite Ize products for pets. Furthermore, if you love to go for night hikes or are a peakbagger who typically has to start pushing for the summit before sunrise, Clip Lit LED lights are water resistant and a mere twist turns them on and off so that you’re not fumbling around in the darkness, making them a useful accessory to add to a backpack, jacket, or boot laces.

Design and Aesthetics ★★★★
All of Nite Ize products are water resistant, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing. The Clip Lit LEDs come in a variety of colors and designs such as flowers and peace signs for the hippie-types. Nite Ize helmet and bike lights are all small in design, but pack a bright punch. No need for bulk when it comes to these bits of gear. Nite Ize keeps their designs simple and effective, which means less parts that can break and less hassle during use.

Durability ★★★★
I spend the majority of my 3-day weekends on some sort of trail in the Colorado Front Range or backcountry. That being said, my Nite Ize items have never failed me. Whether I’m tossing my pack over a creek bank, rolling up my jacket and shoving it into my adventure mobile, or flinging my keys into the deep, dark recesses of my ski bag, these little lights take a lot of battering but keep on shining. Not to mention, my dog’s PetLit LED Collar Light has lasted through numerous camping and hiking adventures. Whether my blue-nosed pit bull is bursting through sage brush, splashing in high-alpine lakes, or rolling in god-only-knows-what, her PetLit keeps on keeping on.

Value ★★★★
Talk about bang for your buck. The Clip Lit’s are a mere $4.49 and the majority of Nite Ize products are under $20, including their super handy 3-in-1 LED Mini Flashlight which acts as a lantern, safety light, and flashlight and is priced at only $11. 99. With so many useful products at such a low cost, there’s no excuse for an outdoor enthusiast not to own at least 3 or 4 of these awesome baubles.
