DJI Inspire 1 ($2899)The most expensive, and technically impressive, drone on this list is easily the DJI Inspire 1. This model is built for professional filmmakers and photographers looking to get the best shots possible. The Inspire 1 is capable of capturing 4k video, and transmitting a 720p HD live feed from up to a mile away. It’s ability to change the angle of its carbon-fiber arms while in flight provides it with extra stability in high winds, and its dual-pilot functionality allows one user to fly the aircraft while the other operates the camera and gimbal. Built-in GPS chips give the Inspire 1 the ability to fly to preset checkpoints, and return to its owner automatically, even if the pilot has changed locations since takeoff. The Inspire 1 is even capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 mph (80 km/h), and has a flight time of about 18 minutes. While very expensive, this is the most capable of all the drones on the market in terms of shooting video and photos.
