Case :: Highbanks Pocket Knife

I have to admit I am a bit obsessed with knives (not in a violent way I promise).   That being said, I was a little too excited to get my hands on the Highbanks™ knife with its smooth OD Green Canvas Micarta® handle, I couldn’t wait to put it to the test. This knife could very well become an essential part of my EDC (everyday carry) kit even though I do normally tend to run around with Crocodile Dundy (Look it up kids) sized knives.

Design/Aesthetics (5) ★★★★★

First off, the Highbanks™ is a real looker. The OD Green Canvas Micarta® handle not only looks ruggedly stylish but feels great in the hand. Micarta® is known for its durability and scratch resistance, and it lives up to the hype. The knife has a nice balance between contemporary design and classic aesthetics, with aluminum frames and bolsters that keep it lightweight yet sturdy.

Functionality (5) ★★★★★

The functionality of the Highbanks™ is where it really shines. The modified Wharncliffe blade made from CPM-20CV steel is a beast when it comes to edge retention. Whether you’re slicing through rope, opening packages, or even doing some light whittling, this blade handles it all with ease. The open nail nick makes it simple to open, and the slip joint mechanism with a half stop ensures it stays securely in place during use.

Durability (5) ★★★★★

I’m pretty tough on my gear, and the Highbanks™ stood up to the challenge. The OD Green Canvas Micarta® handle is scratch-resistant and feels soft yet solid in hand, making it perfect for prolonged use. I chucked this blade at some logs just for kicks and it held up great. The blade’s stonewash satin finish adds a layer of protection against wear and tear, and the overall build quality is top-notch. It’s clear this knife is built to last.

Portability (4) ★★★★

One of the great features of the Highbanks™ is the steel deep carry pocket clip. It ensures the knife stays put in your pocket, ready for quick access whenever you need it. At 4 inches closed and weighing just 2.8 ounces, it’s compact and lightweight enough to carry comfortably all day. The only downside is that a sheath isn’t included, but with the clip, you might not even miss it.

Value (4) ★★★★

At $189.99, the Highbanks™ is definitely an investment, but it’s one that pays off in quality and performance. The combination of durable materials, excellent craftsmanship, and practical design makes this knife worth every penny.

If you’re on the lookout for a knife that can handle your everyday tasks and more, the Highbanks™ should be at the top of your list. With its sturdy build, superior blade, and stylish looks, this knife is ready for whatever adventures you throw its way. Just don’t be surprised when your friends start eyeing it with envy!
