Branwyn Essentials Collection
Everyday Gear You Don’t Think About, Until It’s This Good
I’ve worn a lot of gear over the years guiding trips and just living outside as much as possible. But I don’t usually talk about my underwear. That changed after I started wearing Branwyn’s Essential Busty Bra, Essential Bralette, and Essential Hipster. I wasn’t trying to be fancy, I just wanted something that wouldn’t bug me throughout the day. And these things delivered. I wore ’em pretty much daily, whether I was packing up for a long hike, hanging around camp, or even running into town for coffee. Honestly, I kinda forgot I had them on, which is maybe the best compliment I can give. Oh and yeah, there was one day I didn’t do laundry fast enough and was bummed these were in the hamper. That’s when I knew I was all in.

Design & Aesthetics
One thing I really like about Branwyn’s stuff is that it doesn’t scream for attention. The colors are simple: bone, black, cocoa, olive and all the pieces have a low-key, clean look that fits with anything. The Busty Bra has a little more structure, with wider straps and a fuller cut that actually fits C cups and up without spilling or squeezing. The Bralette is more minimal but still feels secure, especially with the wide underband that doesn’t roll or dig in. And the Hipster hits that sweet spot where it feels like it covers what it should, but still looks good when you catch a glimpse in the mirror. It’s practical gear that also happens to look good.

Functionality
This is where these pieces really shine. The Busty Bra was my favorite for more active days, it’s got adjustable straps that can go cross-back, which kept it locked down when I was hauling a pack or scrambling up rocks. It’s not a sports bra, but it held up better than most I’ve tried for medium output stuff. The Bralette was perfect on chill days, soft, easy to move in, no pokey seams. And the Hipster? It stayed put. No riding up, no bunching, just stayed where it was supposed to be whether I was walking, squatting, or napping in a hammock. All of them are made with Merino wool, which kept me dry and odor-free even on sweaty days. That’s not a gimmick, Merino just works.

Durability
I’ve put these through the wash plenty, and I’ve worn them even more. No pilling, no weird stretched-out straps, no seams unraveling. That Merino blend is soft but strong, and it holds its shape better than I expected. I hang dry most of my stuff, but even when I forgot and tossed one of the bras in the dryer, it came out fine. These aren’t delicate pieces. They’re meant to be worn and used. Whether they’re stuffed in the bottom of a pack or worn three days in a row, they hold up.

Value
Here’s the thing, these aren’t $10 Target bras. The Busty Bra runs about $58, the Bralette is $48, and the Hipster is $38. That’s definitely an investment. But considering how often I wear them and how much better they feel than the cheaper stuff I used to settle for, they’re totally worth it. The comfort, the temperature regulation, the odor resistance… it all adds up to gear that makes your day better. And you really only need a couple to get by if you’re willing to rotate and wash.

Final Thoughts
Bottom line? Branwyn’s Merino essentials do exactly what I want my base layers to do. They’re comfortable, dependable, and hold up to daily wear without a second thought. If you’re someone who moves around a lot, whether that’s hiking trails, working outside, or just staying busy, these are worth checking out. I’d recommend the Busty Bra if you need serious support, the Bralette for everyday chill comfort, and the Hipster for underwear that actually stays put.
