Campbell Ultrafiltration+ Water Bottle

This past weekend, we finally had a few days of 70-degree and sunny weather. Because of the great weather,  three friends and I took a trip to the Ozarks to camp. This trip, I brought with me a new Campbell Ultrafiltration+ On-the-Go Filter Water Bottle. We stumbled upon a clear stream, and I confidently filled up, knowing the bottle’s filtration would have our backs. The group was amazed, and honestly, so was I.

Design and Aesthetics ★★★★☆

The bottle sports a sleek, minimalist design that’s both functional and stylish. It comes in a clear finish, allowing you to see the filtration process in action. The compact size fits snugly into backpack pockets, and the ergonomic shape makes it easy to grip, even when you’re on the move. However, a few color options would’ve been a nice touch for those who like a bit of flair in their gear.

Functionality ★★★★★

This isn’t just any water bottle; it’s a portable filtration system. The Campbell Ultrafiltration+ reduces 99% of PFAS (those pesky “forever chemicals”) and cuts down chlorine by over 50%. Whether you’re filling up from a questionable tap in a foreign country or a murky stream in the backcountry, this bottle ensures you get clean, safe water. Its 16 fl. oz. capacity is adequate for most outings, and the flow rate is impressive, allowing for quick hydration stops

Durability ★★★★☆

Constructed from BPA-free plastic, the bottle feels sturdy enough to withstand the usual bumps and drops that come with outdoor adventures. I’ve tossed it in my pack without much thought, and it’s held up well. The filter itself doesn’t require cleaning, which is a huge plus. However, the plastic material might not endure heavy abuse as well as some metal counterparts.

Value ★★★★☆

Priced at $41, the Campbell Ultrafiltration+ offers solid value for a personal filtration system. Considering the cost of disposable water bottles and the environmental impact they carry, this reusable option pays for itself over time. Plus, for every bottle sold, $1 is donated to Water4Kids International, which is a feel-good bonus. The only downside is that replacement filters aren’t the cheapest, but they do last for a decent amount of time.

Closing Thoughts ★★★★☆

The Campbell Ultrafiltration+ On-the-Go Filter Water Bottle has become an essential part of my gear. It’s reliable, functional and offers peace of mind knowing that clean water is always within reach. Whether you’re a hiker, traveler, or just someone who’s health-conscious, this bottle is a worthy investment. While it has a few minor drawbacks, the benefits far outweigh them. Stay hydrated, folks, and happy trails!
