Island Optics: Capa Polarized Sunglasses

As an avid outdoorsman and gear junkie, I’m always on the hunt for equipment that can keep up with my adventures. When Island Optics sent me their Capa sunglasses to test out, I couldn’t wait to put them through the wringer. Little did I know, these bad boys were about to become my new favorite shades for hitting the water.

Last weekend, I had the perfect opportunity to put the Capa sunglasses to the test. I strapped them on as I embarked on a float trip down the Buffalo River in Arkansas. From navigating rapids to soaking up some serious sun, these sunglasses were my trusty companions throughout the journey. Let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint.

Design/Aesthetics (5) ★★★★★

The Capa sunglasses are a sleek and stylish pair of shades that scream adventure. With their lightweight TR-90 frame and a variety of bold color options, they’re equal parts functional and fashion-forward. But let’s be real, we all know that true beauty lies in performance, and the Capa delivers on that front too.

Functionality (5) ★★★★★

These sunglasses aren’t just a pretty face. Island Optics packed them with some serious tech, like their innovative OX2 dual polarized lens technology. Let me break it down for you – these lenses offer sharper and more vibrant colors, which is a game-changer when you’re trying to spot that elusive fish or navigate tricky terrain. Plus, with their hydrophobic, oleophobic, and anti-reflective coatings, you can say goodbye to annoying glare and water spots.

Durability (4) ★★★★

As an outdoorsy person, I put my gear through the wringer, and the Capa sunglasses can definitely take a beating. Thanks to their Gator Grip anti-slip technology on the nose pads and temple tips, these shades stayed put even when things got a little wet and wild. And let’s not forget about that lightweight yet durable TR-90 frame – it’s like the sunglasses equivalent of a superhero’s suit.

Value (4) ★★★★

Listen, I get it – quality gear can come with a hefty price tag but these don’t. At $64, the Capa sunglasses are worth every penny. Not only do they perform like champs, but they’re also built to last. Plus, with all the tech and features packed into these bad boys, you’re getting a serious bang for your buck.

If you’re in the market for a pair of sunglasses that can keep up with your adventures, the Capa from Island Optics should be at the top of your list. They’ve got the looks, the performance, and the durability to become your new favorite outdoor companion. Just don’t blame me when your friends start getting jealous of your sweet new shades.
