Dear Gearographer,
How do I get a nickname? My buddies all have cool nicknames like Hammer, Gunny, Wild Bill and Animal. I want a cool one too but can’t think of anything good. Can you help?

“NoName” just might work for you! Nah, you can’t give yourself a nickname; nicknames are earned. Before you get too carried away you should ask my friends Snotnose, Ass-Cramp or Johnny Bag of Doughnuts how they feel about their names. Not all nicknames are terms of endearment. Usually you have to do something really well to get a good nickname. Do something really well or stupid and you get a nickname too; just ask good old Ass-Cramp.
