Best Gear of Shot Show 2022

We just got back from a great Shot Show 2022 and boy, did they have some cool gear! The show was full of new cutting edge products from camping, hunting, and tactical categories. However, I am going to be spotlighting some of the best outdoor equipment that we were able to get our hands on.

Minus33 – Kodiak Fleece Face Mask and Balaclava

Minus33 nailed it with this product. When you’re out on the mountain and needing that extra warmth for your neck and face, don’t hesitate to pick one of these up. The material on the Kodiak fleece face mask and the balaclava is soft to the touch and comfortable against the face. They both come with an adjustable draw string to make sure you get the ideal fit. The merino wool makes for the perfect isolator to keep you warm and able to ride longer.

If you are looking for a more protective style, I would suggest the balaclava. It offers full protection, going up and over the top of your head.

Case Knives – Kinzua

The Kinzua is a modern chapter in the story of Case Knives. The Kinzua features a satin finished steel tanto blade which is inspired by Japanese swords. This blade style is known to make the tip of the blade even stronger, helping with everyday tasks, while also giving it better piercing power. The blade is housed in lightweight anodized aluminum, fitted with a one-hand opening frame lock system. On top of that, it’s offered in three different colors.

Camp Chef – Propane Fire Pits

Camp Chef is coming in hot by bringing new fire pits to their lineup! They’re offering 3 sizes (16″, 18″, and 24″ in picture) so no matter what, there is something to fit your needs. These fire pits include heat-dispersing lava rocks, matchless ignition (not included on 16″), adjustable flame control, and smokeless flame (propane).

Camp Chef has made enjoying the warmth of a fire easy, without the hassle of having to chop wood or worry about the mess of the ashes.

QuietKat E-bikes

Talk about having some fun! The guys over at Quietkat are doing just that. They are an E-bike company making strides in the outdoor industry. QuietKat bikes were built with the outdoorsman in mind, with many additional kits for the customer to add to their bike to make it perfect for their needs. These are perfect for any fisherman, hunter, overlander, or anyone looking for something to help them get around their land.

Princeton Tec Helix Backcountry Lantern

The Helix Backcountry is a small, compact, lightweight lantern that puts out a bright (300 lumens!) beam while still being easy on the eyes . The Backcountry is the perfect sidekick for around camp or in your tent. It features a “swipe” control panel that is free of buttons and gives access to a dimmable white mode, plus a dimmable red mode for low profile use.

The glow-in-the-dark collapsible globe and folding legs help it shrink in size when it’s time to pack it away. The lantern design even incorporates several hanging options via the top and legs. The globe can be removed to make a more focused spot beam; ideal to scope out the surrounding area in more detail.

Mystery Ranch – Rous Field Bag

The Rous bag is, by trade, a medical bag designed for the military. However, this bag can also be used for backpacking or camping trips. This bag is HUGE, coming in at 29″ tall,  20″ wide, and 12″ deep so you can carry whatever your heart desires! The bag also features the “NICE” frame system that is sturdy, yet flexible to help move with your body and make carrying those heavy loads much, much easier.

Every product highlighted in this article is either out on the market now, or will be shortly. Each piece is an awesome addition to its field and amazing in its own way. We hope that you get the chance to try them out this season!
