Interbike 2016: Show Favorites
The Gearographer team spent the past week in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada for Interbike 2016. We met some awesome people in the bike world and got to see some really sick bikes. From running around Mandalay Bay in a Pinhead costume, to forgetting our laptop charger and getting recruited to pass out fake Lyft coupons, our trip wasn’t without its adventures!
But that not the point! The point is we got to check out some sick gear for you guys. Check out some of our show favorites below…
Klymit Hammock V Pad | MSRP: $139.95
What is it: An inflatable pad that is placed with non-slip zones inside of a hammock.
Why it matters: Tired of freezing while sleeping in your hammock? The Hammock V Pad is a form-fitting design that wraps around the body to create a barrier that prevents the cold from creeping in from the bottom or sides of the hammock. The pad also allows you to swing freely without sliding out of the hammock.
Tech Specs: The Hammock V quickly inflates in just 15-20 breaths, packs up small, and weighs only 27 ounces.

Overbrow Ventilation keeps you cool on hot climbs, and there’s even a breakaway camera mount.
Tech Specs: This helmet boasts many impressive features: Breakaway Screws, Float Fit™, Fusion In-Mold Polycarbonate Shell, Goggleguide™ Adjustable Visor System, Integrated Breakaway Camera Mount, MIPS-Equipped, Overbrow Ventilation™, X-Static® Padding. Pinhead Component Locks | MSRP: varies
What is it: Pinhead Locks offers a variety of locks to secure your bike to offer safety and peace of mind to the user.
Why it matters: Ever had any of your bike components stolen? One time in college someone stole all the bike seats around campus and put them in a fountain. As you can imagine, they were all ruined, and seats are a stressful thing to replace. Pinhead’s quick release wheel, seatpost, and headset locks protect the front wheel, rear wheel, seatpost, and headset. So next time the thieves won’t be as lucky!
Tech Specs: Their site boasts, “Pinhead locks cannot be removed with tools such as hammers, pliers, picks, universal socket tools, grinders or bolt cutters.” They also have specially coded keys, corrosion resistant CrMo steel and aircraft alloys that come with a lifetime warranty. So you never have to worry about your bike parts getting stolen ever again!
