Summary:

As the name says, this is a day pack. For your usual daily tasks, this small pack is perfect to get your stuff from point A to point B. Plus, it's really cheap with an added lifetime guarantee.

Backpacks, once used for lugging stuff around, are now an essential component of a stylish wardrobe. If looking for a day pack to roam around town or a hiking trail, look no further than the Eddie Bauer Rippac Packable Day Pack.

Functionality ★★★★★
The bag’s interior expands to a larger capacity than what the picture demonstrate. The bag fits an average size laptop and DSLR camera at the same time. The bag functions as a perfect day hiking bag as it includes two water bottle storage pouches. The bag is large enough to store a sweater or additional clothing. For a daypack, the bag fully serves its function to hold and help transport goods. For those looking for hefty trail hiking bags, upgrade to another size as this bag is made for, and functions as, day use.

I love the comfort of this bag. The lightweight bag is relaxed on the shoulders and does not tug or pull on the shoulders like other bags. The bag feels similar to feathers floating on top of the shoulders. The straps are easily adjustable and are perfect for any urban, outdoor, or work outing.

Design and Aesthetics ★★★★
Those who have followed Eddie Bauer since the 1990’s know this company has come a long way to provide fashion forward trends for the outdoor enthusiasts. I personally love bright and vibrant colors, which is what attracted me to the bags at first. I adore these colors as I bike, commute, and photograph on the trails during evening hours; therefore, I wanted something that meets my style desire as well as making me visible during nighttime explorations. The bags also come in neutral gray and black to meet the modern day, chic look.

Durability ★★★★
For a lightweight pack, this bag is highly durable thanks to the 210D ripstop polyester technology. I don’t think I’d walk around with bricks in the bag, but for carrying the normal everyday stuff (clothes, food, technology, books) this bag can handle being rough around the edges with transport and inside goods. The bag feels less than one pound in weight and folds into a tiny carry bag, making it easy to transport in a suitcase. As long as you are not going to bowling practice, the bag is tough, durable, yet lightweight.

Value ★★★★★
The best part of this bag is the value. For $30 one can purchase a stylish, multi-colored bag. The second best part about Eddie Bauer is they have a lifetime guarantee with bags. Therefore, this will be the best $30 one will ever spend in a lifetime. Backpacks are very expensive and Eddie Bauer provides an affordable and functional bag at the third of the price compared to many competitors and designer bags.
