The month of April is a time of transitions. From snow to sun, from early sunsets to early sunrises, from winter to spring. Luckily, for the adventure enthusiasts that means an array of options for the weekend and lifestyle pursuits. Check out this small collection of everything going on in April to get an idea of how you want to get out and play this month:

World Ski & Snowboard Festival | April 11th-20th | Whistler, BCMusic, arts, and more; join the ski and snowboard community this month at one of the best ski resorts for a festival like no other. Bob your head to the silent disco or snap a picture of your favorite mascot bombing down a hill, if you have ever glided your way through some powder or got down on some grooves this event is for you. Chicks With Nuts | April 13th | Seneca Rocks, WVChicks with Nuts is the only all women’s climbing conference in the nation. Taking place in the beautiful and remote climbing paradise known as Seneca Rocks in West Virginia, this program is only open to twelve participants. Whitewater Triple Crown | April 12th-13th |Tariffville Gorge, Farmington River, CT
The whitewater Triple Crown on the Farmington River in Connecticut offers paddlers three distinct events to participate in. There is the water racing for the speed queens and kings, a slalom event for the precision crowd, and of course the freestyle event for those who have been practicing their spins, cartwheels, and flips. Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bell Beach World Championship | April 16th-27th | Victoria, Australia
The ladies of the Rip Curl Surfing World Championships are kicking some butt in Australia this month, and you have a chance to check out. Either hop a plane for down under, or check out the website for videos and event status screening. Either way, watching these championship surfers pound the wake will make you want to hang ten wherever you are.

Chickamauga Chase | April 19th | Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park
Since 1969, the Chickamauga Chase has enabled its participants to dash through two historic National Military Parks to see some historic sites, monuments, and markers. While pacing yourself through this 15K of history through Chickamauga and Chattanooga, be sure to relish in the fact that you are part of a history much larger than yourself. Run or Dye Fun Run | All Month |Various Locations
From New Mexico to Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Florida; the Run or Dye color run series is going places. All month long, this established and well marketed event is spreading throughout the nation leaving its colorful dye as a footprint. Check them out for yourself and find the race closest to you. Tuck Fest | April 25th-27th |National Whitewater Center, Charlotte, NC
If you can only make it to one event this month, Tuck Fest should be your first choice. Taking place at the enormous White Water Center in North Carolina, this event has something for everyone. Dog jumping competitions, climbing clinics, paddling parties, live music, zip lines, family friendly adventure races, mountain bike races, wake boarding competitions; literally the list it too long to encompass everything going on at Tuck Fest this month.

Tim Selinske United States Disc Golf Championship | April 25th-27th | Tulsa, OK
If you didn’t know, disc golf is growing with rapid popularity, and if you wanted to see that for yourself head down to Tulsa Oklahoma late April to the Tim Selinske Memorial Disc Golf Championship. Come see professionals rip some discs and nail some birdies, or hop on the course after the professionals get done with them, either way, prepare to fall in love with disc golf.

Shenandoah Epic Adventure Race | April 26th-27th | Bentonville, VA
If you’re heading over to Bentonville this April for the adventure race, prepare yourself for paddling, biking, trekking, navigating, and miscellaneous challenges in one of the country’s most scenic settings; the Shenandoah Mountains. If this race wasn’t difficult (26 hours long), it wouldn’t be epic, so grab your gear, assemble a crew, and get going on this amazing race. NSAA National Convention & Tradeshow | April 30th-May 3rd | Savannah, GA
The National Ski Areas Association is hosting one of their biggest events of the year in the historic and charming town of Savannah, Georgia at the end of the month.
